So many people have asked me how the Robert era has all happened. It is kind of a long story and hard to spread around to everyone who h

as asked so I thought that I'd blog about it so that I don't have to tell

it over and over again, not that its not fun to tell its just a mouth full. Also, just to warn you, I got my wisdom teeth out a couple of days ago and I am still kind of out of it, so if something seems kind of weird or random, we'll just blame it on my happy pills.

So I hope you're ready for the big story about my fiance. Well lets start at the beginning... we were set up by my sweet co-worker, Lori Blower, and her daughter which happens to be Roberts Sister in law. We tried to meet the first Wednesday of the month November after institute, but it just so happened that all i knew about him wa

s that his name was Robert and he was cute and all he knew about me was that my name was Ruth and that my smile lit up the room. He found a Ruth, but she had no idea who he was or who Lori was.

So after a discouraging Wednesday i decided to just get over it, but Lori and Niki, his sister in law, would not give up on us. So while Niki was in labor with he

r first child, our dear Riley, She decided to get my number to swap with Robert. So that's what she did while she was in the hospital, about ready to give birth.

So the next Wednesday, after institute, I remember standing around being a little scared, not knowing what to expect or even if he was going to call. All I remember is looking up and seeing a really good looking guy picking up his phone and looking at me. I reached for my phone even before it went off and answered to a very nervous, but cute Robert. We hit i

t off. WE went to Josh Burgess's house and while the rest of the group watched the movie Wall-E we talked and talked, well I was so nervous that I talked most of the time, but we weren't parted after that night. We had our first date that Friday after and have been together ever since then.

So I believe in love at first sight. It happened to me on Novembe

r 19, 2008 at about 9:30 PM .

Well it wasn't until the night before thanksgiving that we officially girlfriend and boyfriend. It was great. I just remember asking, " So who am I to you?," " My girlfriend," he said. And Your my...," "Boyfriend." It was wonderful. It happened in front of the high school on one of our walks. Thanksgiving was one of the hardest times ever. I already thought that I was missing a part of me.

The Sunday after thanksgiving was the first time he said I love you. I remember wanting to say it so bad all thanksgiving holiday over the phone, but he said it while we were on my grandparents rocking couch. He whispered it right in my ear

and I remember my heart leaping straight out of my chest from excitement.

So we were in separable throughout this whole event. We spent at least five to seven hours a day together. We talked about everything and learned all

we could about each other. Our likes and dislikes. The past present and future, anything you can think of we talked about. He knew that the first man I kissed would be my husband and so he respected that. He wouldn't kiss me until he asked permission for my hand in marriage from my dad.

So we planned Dec 19th as being the day he would talk to my dad. He was nervous, but it ended up being great. I didn't kiss him til the 21st of Dec. He didn't want to steal my kiss so I had to ask for a kiss which in return he asked me if he could kiss me. It was wonderful. I don't think I need anyone to compare to for kissing. I can just tell he's a good kisser and he says that I am a great kisser.

He proposed to me on the 22nd of December in a field of snow where he told me some really sweet things got on one knee and proclaimed his love.

I know that to many this may seem fast, but its something I know is right. Nothing in life can seem so right to me. I never thought that I could love someone as much as I love him and I never thought I could be loved by someone as much as he loves me.

We plan to be sealed for all time and all eternity in the Twin Falls Temple on April 8, 2009. Please leave your address so that I can send out an announcement to you. We are both so excited to spend the rest of eternity together. It almost doesn't seem long enough, but it will be perfect.

Our American Ways

Dear Readers, Friends, Family, and Fellow Americans

I have long been meaning to write once again, but anyway... I finally got to vote for the first time. The only reason why its taken me so long to vote is because I've been in Rexburg during the election season, but that doesn't mean I keep up on politics... Actually sometimes I get into it so much that I son't realize how insensitive I am to other peoples feelings.

First of all I want to say...

Yea for the History that occured on the night of Nov. 4! I thank God for the strides that Americans have made toward equalization.

Yes, I was sad that Obama didn't share exactly the same oppinions that I have, but We can only pray and hope that as Americans we will strive to become better and to be "ONE NATION UNDER GOD.... With Liberty and Justice for ALL!"

I stand behind our president that we have now and the new elected president. Just like it says in Article of Faith # 12

"We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law. It seems prayer still upsets some people. When Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the neew session of the Kansas Senate, everyone was expecting the usual generalities, but this is what they heard:

Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know your word says,' Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done.

We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.

We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.

We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.

We have killed our unborn and called it choice.

We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.

We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem..

We have abused power and called it politics.

We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition.

We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.

We have ridiculed the time-honored values or our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free.

Amen!

The response was immediate. I know that many of you have already seen these pictures probably, but I'm getting a camera soon...hopefully. But here is a small rundown of what's been going on in my life...

Everything that I do I do it with my great friends of the branch. Here are some of us four wheeling with the branch earlier this month or late of last. Please take a close look at Derek's face in the back left. It was pretty amazing. This conference was so special to me. The words were so perfect that I hope everyone one of them was engraven on my heart and mind. I'm really grateful that I get to teach every fourth sunday because that means I get to teach about the General Conference talks. I love it! (From right to left... Me, Josh, Yamammy, Zainab, and Kyle) It was a lot of fun to get to know these guys more too. I also got to see my old friend Rafael Juarez. I missed him so.

We do lots of fun stuff with my branch. Here is a few of us from the branch after bowling. If you look to your bottom right you will see a display of blue steelness. We had fun. I kind of gave up on bowling right in the middle of the game. I was having way too much fun talking and laughing and being poked by a certain someone names Derek. We of course watched a movie at Josh's house like usual afterwards. Its become a regular thing... everyone to Josh's house after... well almost every night.

Here is the coolest group of friends that ever exhisted in all of Burley, Idaho. They had a picture night while i was sick. For the past couple of weeks I've been subing for preschool at dworshak and boy do they like to share their germs in any way possible. It is actually one of the rules they have.."Share and take turns." Its too bad that some days they'd wrather share germs than their toys. Maybe that rule should be a little more specific. Anyways... i'll update a little more later. Coming up is a trip to lagoon, More on a couple of weddings I've been to recently, and possibly a little more randomness.

Well have a good day and keep your chin up... Who knows what the hour of the day will bring... Over and out with the one and only...lonely twin

What Grade am I?

I started to sub just to see what grade I possibly wanted to teach when it came to music, but I think that it just made me even more confused. I love almost all of them. Here are the classes that I've taught so far.

Kindergarten, First, confined Special Ed 1-3, Fourth, Sixth, 7-8 Special Ed.

I have no idea what I want to teach. It is quite definate that when you get to about fourth grade the students have a small additude, but It isn't too bad. I have loved them all especailly Jr. High Special ed, but I don't know if it is because of the certain teachers that are there or the certain kids I get to see. I teach quite frequently in there and I love it so much.

All I know is that I want to be a teacher. I still have a passion for music, but I don't know if I can make it through the program. I really wish that I had the confidence that I was lacking. Another thing that I get frustrated about is that sometimes you have to really put on a show for the kids to get them to listen. Boy have times changed from those who are excited to learn to those who are ready to get out of school fast.

I love teaching though. To think of all of those minds that you get to help develop for the better is amazing! I want to share so many thoughts with those kids. I want to teach about the world and how they can be better leaders by presenting qualities that people have forgotten about. I want to help them become better people, better parents, and better in their communities.

I don't know if this sounds too crazy, but I think that we are in need of these things and i don't know if we forget about these things sometimes. We get so busy thinking that we have to be better than all these other countries that we forget about how are country in looking as a whole. We forget out integrity and our true American dream. Don't get me wrong, math, science, and etc. are very important, but what will our future look like without these life lessons.

Most teachers realize that students are not being taught at home like they used to be. There is no discipline or respect. Homes are crumbling all around us and there isn't much we can do. It is true that satan is starting his attack where it hurts and that is on the families. I can only pray that we can teach and help those in need of it as much as we can.

May we all see to our children as a shepherd would see to his flock.

The Winner Is...

SUBSTITUTE TEACHING!!!
I am absolutely loving this job sooooooo much! I finally was able to start subbing this Wednesday. It was great! I first subbed at the Junior High as an aide in the special ed room. It went really well. I was a little hesitant at first, but I was able to do a really good job. They already signed me up for a couple of weeks in November.

The next Job was at mountain view, grades 1-2. They were really good kids. I was an aide again for Special Ed, but this time if was for the confined(meaning confined to a wheel chair) room. It was great. Mrs. C was a great teacher. I learned a lot from her. She had so much patience and love for those kids. Teaching in special ed is a lot harder than most other sub jobs mostly because the children really need to keep to the routine. One mix up could leave to confusion and frustration on almost all of the students part. They need consictency at all times.

Today I taught Kindergarten! It was such a blast. I felt so bad for the kids I taught though. These kindergarteners went all day long. Only two of the four classes went all day because they were a little behind the rest of the students their age. By the time 1:30 came along they were already asking if they could line up to the door so that they could get on the bus.

The cutest and most pitiful story of the day was when lunch came. Everyone started to line up at the door except for this little girl. She came up to me and said, "Teacher, I am not eating lunch here today. " "Why not, I asked, you're going to get hungry." "No, it's okay, she said, My mom's making me lunch at home and expects me to be there." I felt so bad for her. I told her that she had to eat lunch and that it would be a while before she went home. She cried for a little bit, but nothing a little hug could fix.

After two snack times, a couple of recesses, some tears, and three bloody noses from kids picking their noses, all was well and finally..... the weekend was here for the lonliest of twins

6 Job Contenders

Okay Everyone. Here is the top six jobs that I've applied for in the last three days. (6 being the worst and 1 being the best)

6. Best Western House Keeping
I don't really want this job. I went there because someone told me that they needed someone to work the front desk. I thought that it would be pretty nice and not too hard, but when I got there they told me that the only thing that was open was house keeping so I applied anyways. I've heard horror stories about this job so I would rather not work here, but if worse comes to worse I will.

5. Welch's Music
This job wouldn't be to bad other than it was for a clerk job. I don't want to sound stupid or anything, but the "Music" part didn't sound so bad, but I have no idea what the whole "Clerk"part entails. I just knew that it was close enough to where I live and maybe I could get a discount on the music items.

4. Rite Aid Pharmacy
Okay, the only thing wrong with these guys is that they seemed kind of snooty when I met them. Plus they fired my dad a long time ago and so I really don't want to work for the family rivals. Besides that they weren't looking to hire right at that point. I just really want to update my Technician liscense.

3. Smith's Pharmacy
Smith's wasn't hiring at that moment either. They seemed a lot nicer and It would be a little tiney bit closer to my Grandparent's house.

A TIE FOR FIRST PLACE!!!!
Rosetta Living Center and Cassia County School District Substitue Teaching!!
These two places looked great!! Not only do they seem to pay pretty well, but they also seem to be like respectable jobs. I have already done a little bit of substitute teaching in Parma, but There is a lot more paper work here and Rosetta seems to be a nice place with most of their patience have demensia and Alzheimers. Elizabeth likes working with the elderly so I thought that I'd give it a try. Sharon, Grandpa's sister in law, said that they were looking for anyone and that i didn't have to be certified. Both of these jobs at the same time would be great.

Well that's it for the moment so over and out from the...

LONELY TWIN

Marriage Is What Brings Us Here TODAY.

Liz has done it! She has tied the knot with her Scott( More like left me for some dude). I'm happy for her, don't get me wrong, its just weird now. Our birthdays will never be the same along with christmas, easter, valentines day and so on. She is a beautiful bride though. Its a good thing that we look alike kind of.

A lot of other things have changed now too. Alexie is moving to Michigan with her husband and daughter and I'm still here in little old Idaho. She seemed a little aprehensive, but she is going to be alright. He husband drove all the way there in a big uhaul with a car hitched to the back. He is a brave soul. I just can't believe it. They will be there for at least three years. He is going to law school there.

I am in Burley, Idaho right now Chillin with my peops, grampa and grandma harrison. Its been fun already. I'm on a search for a job. Hopefully a good one. I'll keep you updated. Well, good luck with life and over and out with... Math isn't going so hot, but the rest of my finals should be alright. I can't believe how fast fourteen weeks go by. Its like a popsicle on a hot day. WOWZERS! Well, for those who want to know my plans... I plan to be living in Parma with my parents until August 10, after my twins wedding, and then I will be in Burley with my Grandma and Grandpa Harrison. Hopefully I will be working in a Pharmacy as a technician. We'll see what happens. For all of those who have finals, good luck. And for those who know what finals are like, PRAY FOR ME.
